Suqian, located at the northern part of Jiangsu Province, is the youngest city the province. It is in the radiation location of the Huai Hai Economic Belt, Coastal Economic Belt and Huai River Economic Belt. Suqian covers 8524 square kilometers in the end of 2019. With vast plains, fertile land and crisscross rivers and lakes, Suqian is known as the "hometown of poplar trees", "hometown of aquatic products", "hometown of famous liquor", "hometown of flowers" and "hometown of silkworm cocoons". Since ancient times, Suqian was known as "north of Qilu, south of the Yangtze River and Huai River, middle of Two River (namely the Yellow River, the Yangtze River) Road, choke two Cities' (that is, Beijing, Nanjing) throat".
